BOSTON (AP) — Lt. Gov. Jane Swift, who made headlines when she ran for office while pregnant and was later fined for using state employees as baby sitters, is expecting again — and this time, she is having twins.

"I feel very excited and blessed," said the 35-year-old Republican, who is due to give birth in June.

During her 1998 campaign, she was believed to be the first pregnant candidate to seek such a high-level office. Swift bore her first child, Elizabeth, two weeks before the election.
