Auditions have been scheduled for several upcoming regional stage productions.
Monday, Dec. 4, preliminary auditions will be held for two Weber State University theater productions — "The Country Wife," William Wycherley's 1675 comedy of manners, being directed by James Christian, and "Little Shop of Horrors," being directed by Tracy Callahan.
For the former, pick up a sheet of audition excerpts from Room 321 of the Browning Center. Select and memorize one appropriate speech. For the latter, come prepared with 16 bars of a song in the style of the show, plus a one-minute comedic monologue and a list of your possible conflicts from Jan. 15-March 1.
For both shows, sign up for an audition time on the sheet posted outside of Room 145 (the Allred theatre backstage entrance).
Auditions for "The Country Wife," being staged Feb. 9-18, will be held from 3-6 p.m. in a room to be announced. Tryouts for "Little Shop of Horrors," being presented March 2-10, will be held from 3:30-6:30 p.m. in Room 38 of the Browning Center.

There are roles for two men and two women. All roles require "tremendous voices" and actors with great comedic timing. No appointments are necessary; please bring a photograph and current resume. Tryouts will be held from 7-10 p.m. Come prepared to sing 16 measures of two contrasting pop/rock selections. Rehearsals begin Jan. 3; play dates are Feb. 9-March 24.
