Fremont 42, Clearfield 40

CLEARFIELD — Texie Criddle and Amy DeVries each tallied nine points as Fremont captured the Clearfield Tournament title on Saturday with a 42-40 victory over Clearfield.

Clearfield owned a slim lead late in the fourth quarter, but "Fremont showed more patience than us," said Clearfield coach Rich Swanson.

Tagan Taylor led the Falcons with 11 points.

VIEWMONT 69, ROY 60: Chelsey Nyborg scored 22, Candace States had 18 as Viewmont held a nine point lead through the fourth quarter.

SL LUTHERAN 33, WEST DESERT 18: In a defensive struggle, Laurel Price racked up 11 points as the Lynx won the championship of the Lynx Tournament. Price was the tournament MVP and sisters Stacy and Nicole Knudsvig made the all-tournament first-team.

PAGE, ARIZ. 55, MILLARD 40: The game was close late, but the Eagles struggled down the stretch in their final game at the NGS Classic in Page, Ariz.

CEDAR CITY 41, FLAGSTAFF, ARIZ. 38: Cheryl Banks and Karrie Matheson combined to score 23 points as the Lady Reds improved to 4-1 with a win at the NGS Classic in Page, Ariz.

WASATCH 57, SPRINGVILLE 43: Shalee Fackrel scored a game high 23, Wasatch improves to 4-1.

FT. COLLINS, Colo. 53, ALTA 42: Jenessa McKray led the Hawks with 13, But it wasn't enough to get past Ft. Collins.

PROVO 39, MOAPA VALLEY, Nev. 19: The Bulldogs held Moapa Valley to only eight points after the first quarter as Provo picked up the win in the SUU Invitational.

PINE VIEW 40, TUBA CITY, Ariz. 36: The Panthers avenged a Thursday loss to Tuba City, Ariz., as Jessica Freeman scored 13 points. Pine View trailed 19-10 at the half, but rallied for the victory of Arizona's 3A state champs of a year ago.

DELORES, Colo. 78, MONTICELLO 32: Delores shot the lights out at Monticello, making 30 shots from the floor.

LOGAN 70, UINTAH 41: Uintah came out flat in the second game of the day Friday, getting blown out by Logan.

UINTAH 41, SPRINGVILLE 34: Jennifer Martin led the Utes with 10 points in the second game of the Uintah Classic.

DIXIE 44, CARBON 33: Crystal Lyle had herself a great afternoon in the Flyers' victory. She recorded 12 points, 10 rebounds, three blocks and four steals. Chasi Winningham also added 12 points.

PAHRUMP VALLEY, Nev. 42, PAROWAN 32: Despite 11 points from Meagan Cooke and nine from Katy Cooke, the Rams still lost to Pahrump Valley at the SUU Invitational.
