Dale Ryberg Mortensen passed away November 30, 2000 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

He was born Aug. 26, 1915 in Salt Lake City, UT to Leland Dale and Esther A. Ryberg Mortensen. He was raised in Salt Lake City and at-tended the University of Utah. He married Lillian Charlotte Mc-Mahan June 12, 1940 in Council, ID.

He was a heavy equipment operator for Utah Sand and Gravel for 15 years. In 1955 he became an owner operator with Texaco Oil Co. and operated a Texaco Service Station for the next 14 years. In 1969 he moved to Scottsdale, AZ where he built a successful laundry and dry cleaning business until retirement in 1983. He remained active in retirement until his death.

He is survived by sons, Gary M., Mesa, AZ, L. Dale (JoAnne), Sandy, UT, Reid M. (Marsha), Jerseyville, IL, Randy M. (Janet), Salt Lake City, UT; brother, Richard H., Placerville, CA; 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grand-children. He is preceded in death by sister, Laura Wooding.

Services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, 11 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, where friends and family may call one hour prior. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers financial donations would be appreciated
