Len Saunders, age 96, of Spring Lake, Utah, passed away Saturday December 2, 2000 in Payson, Utah.

He was born Oct. 23, 1904 in Salt Lake City, UT the son of Arthur T. Saunders and Annie Baldwin. He married Lurene Bricker June 25, 1930. Graduated auctioneering school in California. Len lived in Murray 38 years. He was a livestock dealer, Salt Lake County volunteer fireman, mem-ber of Murray Eagles Club, active leader in 4-H Club, participated in Salt Lake County Fair activities, and honorary member of Ute Rangers. He spent many years clerking at local livestock auctions. He moved to Spring Lake in 1968. Dad enjoyed spending time with his family at his cabin on the Weber River. He was an avid fisherman and nature lover. Nothing pleased him more than playing shenanigans, enjoying a good steak, and having his family together. He truly enjoyed the lighter moments of life.

Survivors include two sons and two daughters, Richard L. (Joyce) Saunders, Dale A. (Connie) Saunders, both of Spring Lake, Mrs. Stan (Joyce) Pierson, Mrs. Jim (Nelda) Eldredge, both of Layton; 19 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Clarence Saunders, Bakersfield, CA.

Services will be Tuesday Dec 5, 2000, 11 a.m. in the Spring Lake LDS Ward Chapel, 12625 S. Spring Lake Rd. Friends may call at Walker Mortuary, 587 S. 100 W., Payson, Monday, 6:30-8 p.m. or Tuesday at the church, 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Murray City Cemetery at 3 p.m.
