Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Harold Roderick Williams, age 86, returned to his Father in Heaven Thursday, December 1, 2000, in Bountiful, Utah.
Harold was born Dec. 27, 1913, in Los Angeles, CA to Retta Louise Crockett and Roderick Williams. He was raised in Safford, AZ and graduated from ASU and USC. He married his sweet-heart, Wanda Willis June 3, 1940 in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple. Harold taught high school math, photography and golf for 38 years at North Phoenix High School in Phoenix, AZ. He was a weekend radio announcer for KOY and KOOL stations in Phoenix. Served in the Scottsdale, AZ, LDS 14th Ward bishopric. He devoted every day of his life to his family. He left a great legacy of love and faith to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife and three children: Barbara (Austin) McNaughton, Orem; Harold R. Williams Jr. (Colleen), Orange, CA; Jeanne (Scott) Phillips, Bountiful; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Waldo; sister, Fern; and two grandchildren, Clay McNaughton and Careen Williams.
The family extends their gratitude to Harold's friends, neighbors and care givers that have given hours of service and love.
Services will be held Mon. Dec 4, 2000, 12 noon at the LDS Mueller Park Stake Center, 1800 Mueller Park Rd, Bountiful, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery. Directors, Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary.
