Irma Nancy Sophia Petersen Snow's life ended peacefully early the morning of Dec. 2, 2000 at the Emery County Nursing Home at the age of 91.

She was born Dec. 4, 1908 in Somerset, CO to Lewis and Lil-lian Rappleye Peter-sen. Irma married Gardell R Snow in the Manti LDS Temple July 10, 1935.

She graduated from BYU and Utah State University re-ceiving a teaching degree; taught school in Idaho, Carbon and Emery School Districts for 15 years. Upon retiring she taught preschool in her home. She loved teaching, she loved her students and her students loved her.

She served an LDS mission in the Eastern States, held many callings in her church, and remained faithful and firm in her testimony.

The loves of her life were her children, grandchildren, and beautiful flowers.

Irma was preceded in death by her husband, and two granddaughters. She is survived by her children, Clifford (Janice), Ferron; Ann (Alfred) Marshall, Beaver; Beth Black, Ferron; Stephen (LouJuanna), Ferron; Jean (Scott) Truman, Cedar City; 25 grandchildren; and 43 great-grandchildren.

A very special thanks to the staff at the Emery County Nursing Home for their thoughtfulness and loving care to our mother and grandmother.

Services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 6, 11 a.m. in the Ferron LDS Stake Center. Friends may call at the Fausett Mortuary 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, and one hour prior to the service. Interment, Ferron City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Irma requested donations be given to the Utah Boys Ranch.
