MAGNA — A 35-year-old woman died Sunday at University Hospital due to injuries sustained in a traffic accident Thursday.

Killed was:

Dena Sharpe, 35.

Shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday, the woman was traveling south on 8000 West, Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. John Grayber said.

At the intersection of 8000 West and 2100 South, the woman pulled out in front of a semitrailer truck traveling east on 2100 South, Grayber said.

"The semi had the right of way," Grayber said. "The pickup failed to yield."

Grayber said the semi hit the truck and shoved it through the intersection.
