Ted passed away at home in Holladay November 30, 2000.

He was born Sept. 18, 1919 in Bienville, LA to William Thomas and Mollie Grigg Kirkham. He married Mareta Woudenberg Feb. 14, 1947 in Salt Lake City, UT. Ted was a member of the LDS Church, a veteran member of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps. He worked at Hill Air Force Base as a maintenance Welder until his retirement in 1964. Then opened his welding business in Holladay. Former President of Holladay Water Company.

Survived by his wife, Mareta; son, William T. "Kirk"; daughter, Leslie; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter, Karen Marinos; one great-granddaughter; one brother; and seven sisters.

Ted's many friends and family will remember him as a kind and generous person with a quick wit, a great sense of humor, and a love for motorcycles. We will miss you, your famous great stories and your loving care.

Services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, 12 noon at Cottonwood Mortuary (4670 Highland Dr, Holladay, UT) with a one hour viewing prior to services. A viewing will also be Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, 6-8 p.m. Interment: Holladay Memorial Park.
