Seth Skidmore Allen, 75, died Dec. 1, 2000 at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City due to compli-cations from treat-ment of leukemia.

He was born Nov. 11, 1925, in Cove, UT, a son of Levi H. and Elsie Skidmore Allen. He married LaDawn Doney from Franklin, ID Sept. 23, 1955 in the Logan LDS Tem-ple. He attended school in Cove and Richmond and grad-uated from Utah State Agricultural College in Logan. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a dairy farmer; office manager at the Smithfield Livestock Auction; Cache County Clerk from 1972-1991 and Cache County Executive from 1991-1994. He was active in the LDS Church, serving a mission to Norway, Bishop of the Cove Ward, member of the Benson Stake High Council, and Ordinance Worker at the Logan Temple.

He is survived by his wife, LaDawn, of Cove and the following children, Roxanne Saxton (Mike), Smithfield; Steven Allen (Heidi), Cove; Brent Allen (Kathi), Kaysville; Lyle Allen (Kimberly), Cove; David Allen (Melanie), Layton; Janeen Allen, Cove; Lisa Anderson (Gary), Lewiston; and 22 grandchildren; one sister, Lael Feller (Val), Caldwell, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Sherri.

Services will be 12 noon Tuesday Dec. 5, 2000 at the Richmond, UT LDS Stake Center. A viewing will be at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St, Logan Monday 6-8 p.m. and at the Stake Center in Richmond Tuesday 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Richmond, UT Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion Post #50.
