Wesley Reid Stout, 54, passed away December 3, 2000, after a courageous battle with Leukemia.

He was born May 7, 1946, in Salt Lake City to Franklin Lyman and Fay Heaton Stout. On June 12, 1968, he married Colleen Jensen. They were later divorced. On November 19, 1991, he married Linda Jessup of St. George, and since then has lived in Santaquin. He attended LDS Business College and ran a successful cleaning business, Stout Janitorial, in Salt Lake City. He worked for the US Postal Service for 25 years, first in Salt Lake, then in Gunnison, and finally as Postmaster of Santaquin. He loved animals, and until his illness, spent hours each day caring for them. He served an LDS mission to the Central States and was active in the LDS Church his whole life.

He is survived by his wife of Santaquin; children, Tawnja (Mike) Davidson, and David (Jody) Stout, of Taylorsville; Nathan (Wendy) Stout of Holladay; Reid (Marianne) Stout of Spanish Fork; Daniel Stout, serving an LDS mission in California; stepchildren, Andrew (Molly) Bobo, stationed in Germany; Martha (Michael) Castleton of Magna; Josh Bobo and Tim Bobo, both of Santaquin; nine wonderful grandchildren; his brothers, Mark, Frank, and Allen Stout; and sister Mary Lou Adams. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed but is finally free of pain.
