A Russian Orthodox priest conducts a funeral ceremony Tuesday east of Moscow for soldiers who died during the first Chechen war in 1994-96. The bodies have remained for years at a morgue in southern Russia because the government lacked funds for expensive genetic tests to identify them. The authorities have finally decided to bury the bodies.
