Geraldo Rivera and his ex-wife have sold their 7-acre estate in Middletown, N.J., and a weekly newspaper they published.

The couple, who recently divorced, lived on the estate for 11 years. The property, which has two homes that overlook the Navesink River, was listed at $8.9 million, but the purchase price was not disclosed.

Rivera's former wife, C.C. Dyer, said Tuesday the couple agreed to sell the estate and The Two River Times because they planned to move.

Both the estate and the newspaper were sold to California telecommunications executive Michael Gallagher, who told staff members at the paper that he did not plan to change its format.
