SPANISH FORK — The price of playing golf at the city-owned Spanish Oaks Golf Course just went up.

The City Council on Tuesday approved the increase. A nine-hole round of golf went from $9 to $10 and an 18-hole round from $18 to $20. More notable, however, was the price jump in five and seven-day passes, some as much as $50. The price hikes could raise revenue by $20,000 to $28,000 annually to pay for increased maintenance costs, recreation director Jack Swenson said.
