KANOSH/PANGUITCH, UT--<! > Our beloved moth-er, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, passed away, Dec. 4, 2000, at the Garfield Mem-orial Care Center, in Panguitch, UT.
Mom was born, Sept. 18, 1911 in Kanosh, UT to Abraham Alonzo and Mary Jane Gardner Kimb-all. She graduated from Millard High School in Fillmore and briefly attended BYU before sacrificing further educational opportunities to re-turn home to care for her ailing parents. She spent several years assisting her mother as the Post Mistress in the Kanosh Post Office. Her life was spent in service to her family, friends, and church. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as a teacher in the Primary and Sunday School and as a counselor in the Young Women's and Relief Society organizations. She loved to cook, sew, knit, bowl, and wait on her family.
She married Rulon C. Black, October 10, 1939 in Kanosh, Utah. He preceded her in death, October 11, 1983, and their marriage was solemnized in the Denver Colorado LDS Temple, June 23, 1989.
She is survived by her children: Richard Kimball (Shirlene) Black of West Jordan, Judith Jane (Robert) Collett of Rathdrum, ID, Joseph Gayle (Evelyn) Black of Panguitch; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchil-dren; brother, Gardner Kimball (Betty) of Orem; sisters-in-law, Amelia Cole of Phoenix, Hope Kimball of Kanosh, and Adrus Kimball of Denver. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Abraham Noble Kimball, Royal Gardner Kimball, Orval L. Kimball, Raymond Alonzo Kimball, and a sister Lola Merle Lester.
At her request, a graveside service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2000 at 1 p.m. in the Kanosh City Cemetery. Friends may call a the Kanosh LDS Ward building Friday morning from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Funeral Directors, Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, Utah.
