Kathryne Chiago, the beloved baby of the family, died Thursday, November 30, 2000. She was only 20.
Kathryne was born September 9, 1980 in Salt Lake City, UT to Robert and Lina Chiago. Being the youngest of four children, she was coddled, spoiled, and basically loved by everyone. She was possessed of a very independent soul. She was beautiful, intelligent, and artistic. She oil-painted, pencil-sketched, worked with clay, beaded jewelry, and dabbled in sewing. She was against eating meat. She was full of violet energy and life. She was a curious inquisitive person who was well read. She loved to socialize in order to broaden her mind and widen her horizons. She loved the night. She could hardly bring herself to wake up before 2 p.m. and she even chose a job so that she could work the graveyard shift. She loved animals and had a dog Cleo, and two cats named Tweety and Tu.
Kathryne loved Salt Lake City very much. Even though she lived in Window Rock, Arizona, Mesa, Arizona, and Alexandria, Virginia, she always knew that she wanted to live in Salt Lake City, Utah. She has many friends in the Salt Lake City area. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Kathryne left behind her mother and father, her two sisters, and her brother, not to mention the many more who were touched by her vibrant soul.
A memorial service will be held in the house where she was first brought home as a newborn baby and where she was last seen before her untimely death. The address of her home is 3609 E. 3800 S., Salt Lake City, UT 84109. The service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2000 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. All who knew her are welcome.
