June Annetta Larsen Stayner Swaner passed away Dec. 4, 2000 of causes incident to age.

June was born on June 6, 1918 in Buhl, Idaho, daughter of Randolph C. and Annetta Sorensen Larsen.

She married H. Burns Stayner in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on February 24, 1939. He died June 30, 1974. She later married Dean K. Swaner who also preceded her in death.

June attended East High and graduated from South High School as valedictorian at the age of 15. She went on to graduate from LDS Business College and used her skills as a secretary working for the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce and the Davis County School Board.

June was a long time resident of Farmington and an active member of the LDS Church. Among her church jobs, she has taught Primary, Sunday School, and Relief Society. She has been a Relief Society pianist, a stake missionary, and President of the Davis Stake Special Interest Group. She was also a very supportive wife of her husband as a bishop and member of the Davis Stake presidency.

She was a member of Farmington's Jr. Literary Club and president of the Utah Daughters of Pioneers.

June is survived by two sons, David Burns (Susan) Stayner, Drew Neil (Terry) Stayner, Farmington; three daughters, Sue Annette (Brian) Stayner Swinton, Great Falls, Virginia; Shauna June (John) Stayner Flint, Kaysville; Sherrie Kay (Russell) Stayner Bills, Potomac, Maryland; 24 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husbands, H. Burns Stayner, Dean K. Swaner, and one brother, Niel Larsen, June 24, 1944.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000 at 11 a.m. at the historic Farmington Rock Chapel, located at 272 No. Main in Farmington. Friends and family may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 No. Main and from 9:45- 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Farmington Cemetery.

Everyone who knew June considered her a sweet, fun-loving, and gracious lady who was extremely positive and optimistic about life.
