BRUNSWICK, Ga. (AP) — Forget those Christmas sales at the mall. Police here have come up with their own holiday special.

Nonviolent suspects wanted for petty crimes who are still at large can surrender now and spend Christmas at home with their families rather than in jail.

Anyone who thinks he or she might be wanted on an outstanding warrant can set up an appointment with Brunswick police and a bail bondsman to surrender in time to be released for the holidays, Sgt. David O'Neal said.
