Considering how poorly Hillcrest had been shooting free throws, Cottonwood probably figured it would win or either be heading into overtime.
But Devin Davies hit both his free throws in the final seconds to give the Huskies a 48-47 victory over the Colts.
Hillcrest had made just 8-of-20 free throws prior to Davies stepping to the line.
Rick Brunson led Hillcrest with 19 points, while Jared Watts led Cottonwood with 15 points.
