Mildred Stapley Vincent Casper Brinkman, age 85, passed away December 5, 2000 in Sandy, Utah.

Millie was born October 25, 1915 in Sandy, Utah to Bertrum Henry and Eva Maud Stapley Vincent. She married Varsil Casper on June 24, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple. Within 18 months of their wedding, Varsil was diagnosed with cancer and passed away. On May 2, 1959, Mildred and Reinhart Brinkman were married in Las Vegas, Nevada. She then helped to raise his three children. They were married for nearly 23 years before Reinhart's passing.

Millie attended Jordan High School and enjoyed sports and dancing in her younger years. Her friendly, cheerful manner won her many friends throughout her life. A diligent worker, she was employed by Intermountain Farmers Association for 52 years and served in many different positions as an active member of the LDS Church. She loved to travel, garden, do handicrafts and spend time with family and friends.

Survived by beloved step-children: Charles (Carol) Brinkman, Pell City, Alabama; Susan (Gary) Layton, Flagstaff, Arizona; Robert (Lisa) Brinkman, Sandy, Utah; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents, husbands, three sisters: Phyllis Jacobson, Margaret Vincent and Helen Nielson and two brothers: LaMar and Sheldon.

The family wishes to express special thanks to the lovely ladies at Beehive Homes in West Sandy for their exceptional care.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2000 at 11 a.m. at the Valley View Ward, 1985 E. 3900 S. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive on Friday 6-8 p.m. and at the ward on Saturday 9:45-10:45 a.m., prior to services. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
