Here are three concerts scheduled to take place tonight.
GENERATIONS OF SOUND, an ensemble of 30 contemporary and classical vocalists, directed by Robert C. Bowden, will perform a benefit concert in the Wasatch Presbyterian Church, 1626 S. 1700 East, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children. Families of four will be admitted for $20. The concert, "Spirit of the Season," will raise money for Cancer Wellness House, which provides free resources for anyone whose life has been affected by cancer.
THE STARLIGHT MINTS will play Kilby Court, 741 S. 330 West. The show will begin at 7 p.m. The Mints — drummer Andy Nunez, vocalist/guitarist Allan Vest, keyboardist Marian Love Nunez, bassist Javier Gonzales and guitarist Matt Goad — have just released a quirky pop-rock debut album, "The Dream That Stuff Was Made Of."
THE SPRAGUE BROTHERS — vocalist/guitarist Frank Sprague and drummer/vocalist Chris Sprague — will play the Dead Goat Saloon, 164 S. West Temple. Doors will open at 7 p.m. The music will begin about 9 p.m. The band, hailing from Wichita Falls, Texas, blends everything from blues to surf to rockabilly to rhythm and blues and is currently touring in support of its sophomore album, "Forever and a Day."
