SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — A man was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill singer Moon Unit Zappa because he believes she and her late father stole lyrics from him.

Mark Brownfield, 40, allegedly mailed a package of documents to the FBI's Santa Ana office on Oct. 30 in which he threatened to kill Zappa. She was aware of the threat but did not personally receive any mail from Brownfield, U.S. attorney's spokesman Thom Mrozek said.

Brownfield wrote that he was angry with Zappa and her late father, Frank Zappa, for allegedly stealing the lyrics to "Valley Girl" from him, Mrozek said.
