Luis A. Fuentes, 79, passed away Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000 in Bountiful, Utah. He was born July 1, 1921 in Chile, to Emilio Fuentes and Encarnacion Zambrano. He married Angela Riveros Feb. 7, 1954 in Santiago, Chile. He retired from Fuerzas Armadas de Chile.
Luis enjoyed making toys, especially for his grandchildren. He was always willing to learn something new. He loved gardening and we will always remember those delicious tomatoes. Luis loved his country with all his heart.

Luis is survived by his daughter, Eva (Gustavo) of North Salt Lake; son, Alberto (Glenda) (Lindy) of Salt Lake City; 15 grandchildren; brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews in Chile. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years; his parents; his brother, Emilio; Yanki and Pinto.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000 at 2 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main. Friends may call at the mortuary Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 12:45-1:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
