Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend Barbara Faye Winter Jones, 76, of Nephi, passed away at her home on December 6, 2000.

She was born March 4, 1924, in Levan, Utah, to Hyrum Peter Winter and Minnie Chloe Shep-herd. She married Ronald Crosland Jones on February 10, 1944, in the Manti LDS Temple.

She was an active member of the LDS church and served in many positions including Primary teacher, visiting teacher, MIA teacher and Junior Sunday School teacher. She was a beautiful skilled seamstress and cook. She loved music, sang in many trios, quartets, choirs and musical groups. She enjoyed listening to and teaching her own children and grandchildren to perform. Her husband, children and grandchildren were the light of her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years; one daughter and two sons: Monna Lee (Leon) Pexton, Mark Ronald (Patty) of Nephi and Merrill Winter (Alice) of Pocatello, Idaho; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchil-dren; three sisters, Louise (Ray) Linton of Salt Lake City, Marva (Harold) Willis of Redlands, California and Vera (Boyd) Hiskey of Teasdale, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jay and Leslie Ben Winter.

Funeral services will he held on Monday, December 11, 2000, at 11 a.m. at the Nephi Eighth Ward Chapel, 35 East 200 South, Nephi, Utah. Friends may call at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North, Nephi, Utah, on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the chapel on Monday one hour prior to the services. Interment will be at the Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah.
