Dr. Henry Jekyll would likely be right in the thick of things, supervising the goings-on, but his chemically deranged alter ego, Edward Hyde, might be waiting to create some potential recipients.
The Utah Blood Services Division of the American Red Cross, in connection with the local stop by the national touring production of "Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical," is conducting a "Jekyll & Hyde" blood drive on Friday, Feb. 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank branch, 180 S. Main, half a block east of the Capitol Theatre, where the Broadway musical is playing through Feb. 6.
According to Red Cross spokesperson Judy Christensen, blood collected during the four-hour drive will be used to help stabilize supplies in those regions of the country that have been hit by reduced collections due to flu epidemics and severe winter weather.
