A couple of concerts have been slated for the upcoming week.
ROBIN & LINDA WILLIAMS and Their Fine Group will play some roots-folk-country-bluegrass in the University of Utah's Fine Arts Auditorium on Saturday, Feb. 5. Multi-instrumentalist Don Conoscenti will open the show.The music will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door for $15. Senior citizens will be admitted for $8 and children under 12 will get in for free.
The Williams' (not the comedian Robin Williams) have been a staple on such music programs as "Prairie Home Companion," "Austin City Limits," "Prime Time Country" and "The Grand Ole Opry."
They have been performing as a couple for more than 25 years.
THE BROTHERS CREEGGAN will play the Zephyr Club, 301 S. West Temple, on Tuesday, Feb. 8. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
Jim Creeggan is the bass player for the Barenaked Ladies, and his brother, Andy Creeggan, was the original keyboardist for that group, a Canadian band that has taken America by storm.
Since the members of the Ladies are currently on break, the Bee Cees have decided to tour in support of the new album, "Trunks."
