Alaskan Rachel Steer takes a shot during the senior women's division of the U.S. National Biathlon at Soldier Hollow Thursday. Even with a missed target, Steer overcame her top rival's perfect shooting record to win the sprint in 24:09.8. Vermont native Andrea Nahrgang finished second 46.6 seconds later. Participants called it a perfect day for shooting.
