Bucks 102, Jazz 99
Game 44: Thursday at the Delta CenterAnalysis
If the Jazz's game against Milwaukee on Thursday night were played exclusively in the paint, Utah would have left with more buckets than it needed.
The Jazz won the battle there, outscoring the Bucks 40-18. But they lost the war, falling 102-99 after Glenn Robinson hit a buzzer-beating -- should have known this was coming -- 3-pointer.
Milwaukee favors an offensive attack from outside the line, and Utah didn't do nearly enough about it: The Bucks shot 60 percent (9-of-15) from 3-point range, including 4-of-4 from Robinson and 5-of-7 by Ray Allen.
"Guys just come down, and we weren't ready for them to take the 3-point shot," Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said. "They're a great 3-point shooting team. They came right down -- just looked right at us -- and buried it on us."
