Carl Edward Burningham, beloved father and grandpa, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2000 at the age of 79.

He was born Dec. 19, 1920 in Bountiful, Utah; son of George Edward and Amelia Eugster Burningham. He was a lifetime resident of Bountiful and an active member of the LDS Church, serving for many years as a Salt Lake Temple worker. Carl was retired as a school teacher from Centerville Junior High School and was a veteran of both World War II and theKorean War.

Survived by his son, Blane (Joyce) Burningham of Bountiful; and grandchildren, Rebecca (Rob) Combes, Michelle (Orson) Davis, Katherine (Justin) Shaffer, David (Sarah) Burningham, Ryan Burningham and Tyson Burningham; eight great-grand-children; sisters, Fuchsia Arnold, Georgie Mikkelson, Florence Goodman; and brother-in-law, Red Aird.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 7, 2000 at 1 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-7 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Monday. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
