BOUNTIFUL
-- Meta Kamper Druk, 88, passed away in Bountiful on Wednesday, February 2, 2000, incident to age.She was born July 6, 1911 in Kamen, Germany, daughter of Karl and Bertha Posteher Kamper. She was the oldest of five children.
As converts to the LDS Church, she came with her parents to America in 1923. She married Wilford K. Druk, Sr. June 29, 1945 in the Salt Lake LDS
Temple. He preceded her in death April 23, 1974.
Our loving mother and grandmother was an active member of the LDS Church, having served in many positions, which included Primary president and Cub Scout Leader. During her life she was secretary to Superintendent of Schools for the Carbon and Granite School Districts and twice served as PTA
president in Bountiful area schools. The Salt Lake City Bungalow Care Center residents adopted her as the Bungalow Grandmother where she enjoyed
remembering each resident's and staff's birthdays and special events. She started the South Davis Handicapped Primary and served as its first president. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, and friend. Her legacy is an example of selfless love and service to others.
Survived by two sons, Wilford Druk, Jr. of Midvale; and Richard A. Druk (LaRae) of Bountiful; four grandchildren, Kristy, Clint, Jaimie and Andrea;
a sister, Anne Paletta of Helper, Utah; a brother, Lowell F. Kamper of
Holtsville, California; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jon K. Druk; and two brothers, Eldon and Egon.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 7, 2000 at 11 a.m. at the Orchard Second Ward, 3707 South 800 West, Bountiful. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Monday at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
