The American Cancer Society's Mardi Gras Ball will honor several individuals and organizations who have helped fight cancer. Honorees include Adam and Kristin Keefe, Carol Lee and Smith's Food and Drug. The ball will be held on Saturday, Feb. 26, in the Grand Ballroom of Little America Hotel, 500 S. Main Street in Salt Lake City.

The black-tie affair will feature the presentation of the 2000 Sword of Hope Awards to volunteers to have dedicated themselves to fighting cancer in Utah.KSL TV news anchor and cancer survivor Dick Nourse is master of ceremonies. The ball will also feature a live auction, including lodging and ski passes, a weekend getaway, a gourmet meal for eight and more.
