PLEASANT GROVE--David Lee Harris, 52, beloved husband, father, son, and grandfather, died March 11, 2000, in Provo, Utah of multiple myeloma (blood cancer).
He was born Nov. 15, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ronald T. and Carol Carter Harris. Married Evelyn Gaye Lynch of Ayrshire, Scotland, Sept. 6, 1974, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were blessed with two daughters and one son: Kirsty Lee (James) Walker, Provo; Lindsay Margaret and Trenton David Harris, Pleasant Grove, Utah. Also one wee grandson, Patrick Rex Walker, born Mar. 8, 2000. David was able to see and hold his grandson the night prior to his death.He graduated from Bellevue High School near Omaha, Nebraska. He also attended Utah State University. He served an honorable LDS mission in California from 1968-70.
He was an active high priest in the LDS Church and served as a ward clerk, gospel doctrine teacher, and also taught in the quorums and auxiliaries. He worked as a manager for "Living Scriptures" for 15 years and earned many honors and awards from his company for his sales accomplishments.
Funeral, Wednesday, March 15, 2000, at 11 a.m. in the "Grovecreek" Stake Center, 1176 No. 730 East, Pleasant Grove. Friends may call at the Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the church in Pleasant Grove, Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:40 a.m. Interment will be in the Moroni City Cemetery.
