OREM -- Orem police say burglars who broke into Lakeridge Junior High School Sunday caused $1,500 in damage and stole money from vending machines.

Orem Police Lt. Doug Edwards said the building, 951 S. 400 West, was forcibly entered after 11 p.m. through a door on the north side of the school.Police say the vandals smashed the glass out of door to gain entrance.

"The amount of money stolen is not available at this time," Edwards said, "but is nowhere near the dollar amount of damage done to the machines."
