Virgil returned to his Heavenly Father on the eve of March 11, 2000 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Virgil was born on June 3, 1924 to Louis Everett and Minnie E. Taylor Brown. He married Carol Joy Kalian on June 2, 1945 in Kearns, Utah. He was a member of the LDS Church and was sealed to his family in the Salt Lake Temple at a later date. He was a veteran of World War II in the United States Army stationed at Camp Kearns, Utah.He is survived by his loving wife and companion of 55 years, Joy; his two children, Larry Rex Brown, Salt Lake; and daughter, Linda (Wayne) Cox, St. George; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Russell Brown, South Jordan; and Albert Brown, Lewellen, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Stephen.

Graveside service will be held Wednesday, 12:30 p.m. in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive. Friends may call Wednesday. 11-12 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road.
