Boyd Matson Anderson, age 74, died March 11, 2000 in Salt Lake City after suffering 12 years from many debilitating illnesses.
He was born Nov 27, 1925 at Eureka, Utah to John Amos and Lillian Matson Anderson. Boyd was a World War II veteran serving overseas at Iwo Jima and Okinawa. He was employed for many years by McFarland and Hullinger. He retired from TEAD in June 1988 where he worked as a diesel mechanic.Boyd is survived by his wife, Jeanne; and a son, Alan of Tooele. Boyd was a father to his step-children, Cynthia Schneider, Seattle; Kaye Stambaugh, San Diego; Patrick Brooks, Jamul, CA; and Michael Brooks, Ketchikan, Alaska. He is also survived by his sisters, Lillian Nelson, Spanish Fork; and Maxine Dietz, Elko, NV; and a brother, Glen Anderson, Carlin, NV. Boyd leaves many nieces, nephews and grandchildren whom he loved very much.
We want to thank the many home health nurses and aides who helped us care for Boyd at home for the past several years.
There will be a graveside service at the Tooele Cemetery Wed. March 15th at 11 a.m., friends may call at Tate Mortuary 110 So Main St. one hour prior to the services.
