Emma Naomia Meik Pugmire, age 94, passed away peacefully March 12, 2000, in Salt Lake City.

She was born December 18, 1905, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Francis Thomas and Emma Teresa Ringwood Meik. She married Theodore O. Pugmire on May 5, 1944 in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. He preceded her in death.Naomia retired from I.M.L Trucking after 25 years as head payroll clerk. She was active in the LDS Church and served in many callings. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and the Utah Women's Business Association. She loved to help her family and any others that were in need. She had a genuine concern for everyone.

She is survived by four nephews and three nieces. Preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, eight sisters, three nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to Wendy and Teresa for their loving care to Naomia, and thanks to the staff of Highland Care Center.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 16, 2000, 11 a.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, UT, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Holbrook Mortuary.
