Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Darlene Kirk Van Duren passed away at home peacefully on Monday, March 13, 2000, at age 77.

Born February 7, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Hazel Rose and Angus C. Kirk. Married Melvin R. Van Duren April 6, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple.Survived by her husband Melvin; children Dennis R. (Barbara), Terry K. (Dawniece) and Marlene (Tom) Goudie, all of Salt Lake City; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Dr. Donald A. (Beth) Kirk; sister, Mildred (Bill) Naylor; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 16, 2000, 12 noon at Little Cottonwood 20th Ward, 1160 E Vine Street (6015 S) . Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at the church and Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.

She was a life long active member of the LDS Church. Her main interests were her family and caring for them. She loved fishing, watching golf, keeping up on the news, shopping and most of all her children and grandchildren. To those of us left behind we look forward to a joyful reunion and sharing in those things with her again.
