RICHFIELD, UT-- Max William Franson, 77, of Richfield, Utah, passed away March 12, 2000, in El Centro, California.

He was born May 17, 1922, in Oakley, Utah, to William S. and Ida Murl Maxwell Franson. He married Ellen M. Adams, May 17, 1947, in Orem, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.Max was a veteran of World War II where he served in the Sixth Marine Division in the Pacific. He was Regional Representative for Chevron Oil Co. at the time of his retirement in 1984.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen of Richfield; children, Jay (Gwyn) Franson, Highland; Robert (JaNeel) Franson, Draper; Rex (MaryAnn) Franson, Park City; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister and brothers, Jeanette Sparrow, South Ogden; Floyd Franson, Woods Cross; Ned Franson, Salt Lake. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Larry Franson

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 18, 2000, at p.m. in the Richfield 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 400 No. 200 West. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary, 50 South 100 West, Richfield,

Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be with military rites in the Richfield City Cemetery.
