WASHINGTON (AP) -- The federal judge overseeing the Microsoft antitrust trial postponed his verdict Tuesday, giving both sides more time to hammer out details of a possible out-of-court settlement.

A new mediation schedule gives attorneys for Microsoft and the Justice Department up to 10 days -- or until April 7 -- to negotiate a last-minute deal, according to sources close to the case.
