WASHINGTON (AP) -- New-home sales fell by 0.5 percent in February as rising mortgage rates cut into demand. Americans purchased new single-family homes at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 919,000 last month, the lowest since November but still at a healthy level, the Commerce Department said Wednesday.
