Nets 111, Pacers 106

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Keith Van Horn and Stephon Marbury hit key baskets down the stretch as the New Jersey Nets nearly blew a 21-point fourth-quarter lead but held on for a 111-106 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night.

Van Horn finished with 30 points and Marbury added 28 and 10 assists as the Nets snapped a three-game losing streak and extended the Pacers' losing skid to three games, which matches their longest of the season.

Jalen Rose had 27 points and Austin Croshere added 15 and 10 rebounds for Indiana, which saw All-Star Reggie Miller ejected in the opening seconds of the fourth quarter after picking up two technicals in three seconds. He had 13 points in 30 minutes.

HAWKS 116, NUGGETS 111: At Atlanta, Dikembe Mutombo and Alan Henderson each scored 24 points as Atlanta snapped a three-game losing streak.

Antonio McDyess had 28 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Nuggets.

RAPTORS 99, CAVALIERS 96: At Cleveland, Charles Oakley hit a 3-pointer from the baseline as time expired to lift Toronto, which trailed by 17 points midway through the final quarter.

Vince Carter had 19 points for Toronto.

HEAT 81, SUNS 78: At Miami, Tim Hardaway hit his first six shots and finished with 20 points as Miami rebounded from one of its worst losses of the season.

Miami led 60-32 in the third quarter, but Phoenix went in front 75-73 on Rodney Rogers' 3-pointer with 2:05 left. Alonzo Mourning's slam dunk put Miami back in front 77-75 and the Heat held on in the final seconds.

76ERS 102, TIMBERWOLVES 100: At Minneapolis, Allen Iverson scored 43 points, including two foul shots with 1.8 seconds left, as the 76ers have their first seven-game winning streak in more than nine years.

Kevin Garnett had 31 points and nine rebounds for the Timberwolves, who had their six-game winning streak snapped.

KINGS 103, KNICKS 95: At Sacramento, Calif., Chris Webber had 21 points and added 11 assists as the Kings defeated the Knicks.

Allan Houston had 33 points and Latrell Sprewell added 18 for the Knicks.

ROCKETS 121, WARRIORS 86: At Houston, Walt Williams had 20 points and 11 rebounds and Shandon Anderson scored 20 points to lead Houston.

Houston, which has won three of its last four games, got 18 points and nine rebounds from Kelvin Cato and 15 points and eight rebounds from Steve Francis.

MAGIC 122, CELTICS 87: At Orlando, Fla., Bo Outlaw had 10 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists and Orlando outscored Boston 40-11 in the third quarter for its fifth consecutive victory.

Ron Mercer scored 23 points and reserve Chucky Atkins scored 21 as Orlando shot 55.3 percent.

MAVERICKS 112, CLIPPERS 102: At Los Angeles, Michael Finley recorded his fourth triple-double of the season and fifth of his career with 20 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists to lead Dallas.

Dirk Nowitzki added 20 points for the Mavericks, who had 13 3-pointers in the game — the ninth time this season they have made at least 10 from behind the arc. They also went 17-for-18 from the foul line.

SPURS 89, TRAIL BLAZERS 85: At Portland, Ore., Tim Duncan scored eight of his 36 points in the final 3:16 after David Robinson was ejected as San Antonio rallied from 11 points down in the fourth quarter.

Scottie Pippen scored a season-high 25 points and Rasheed Wallace added 17 for the Blazers, who have lost four straight at home and six of eight.
