Wayne Edward Jackson, 80, died March 29, 2000 in West Valley City, Utah.

Born October 27, 1919 in Goldendale, Washington to George Cecil and Nancy Catherine Stewart Jackson. Married Nova Evelyn Surbaugh; later divorced.Wayne worked in the newspaper busi-ness his entire life from the time he was just 17 years old. During his lifetime, he worked as a news-paper typesetter, later becoming a newspaper equipment sales representative and serviceman. He was also an avid sportsman, who over the years enjoyed watching and coaching his children and grandchildren's baseball games.

Survivors include seven children, Philip Wayne; Michael Frank; Beverly Dollarhide; Timothy Lee; Patrick George; Randy William; and Shelly Tanner; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Doris Furman. Preceded in death by two brothers and two grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 1, 2000 at 1 p.m. at the Christ United Methodist Church, 2375 East 3300 So. Funeral Directors, Larkin Mortuary.
