Our loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, David Henry Sweat, age 47, passed away April 8, 2000 from a hereditary heart condition.

Born Sept. 28, 1952 in Jacksonville, FL., son of Henry Jackson and Melissa Louise Hill Sweat. He married Mella Van Hook and together they had one son, Kasey Sweat. They were later divorced. He married Victoria Briggs on April 7, 1984 in Elko, Nevada; the marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 15, 1987.David was an active member of the LDS Church, and served a full-time mission in Idaho, Washington and Oregon. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and his bow and arrow. He was employed by the University of Utah as a journeyman plumber.

He is survived by his wife, Victoria, Taylorsville; children, Kasey Sweat, Idaho; Jason Koncher, Kearns; Brittany Ann Sweat, Jamie David Sweat, and Jarin Jackson Sweat, all of Taylorsville; mother, Louise Sweat, Jacksonville, Florida; grandson, Tylar Koncher; brother, Keith (Shelley) Sweat, Jacksonville, Florida; sisters, Wanda (Scott) Ritner, Gainsville, Florida, and Debra (Howard) Waddell, Jacksonville, Florida; Melissa (Curt) Yoder, Italy; Heather Sweat, Jacksonville, Florida. Preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, 10 a.m., at the Ridgecrest 1st
