Streak: Lost 2

Last 10: 6-4

For the Jazz . . . Losses to Houston on Sunday and Portland on Monday have virtually killed Utah's chances of catching the Trail Blazers for second-best record in the Western Conference. . . . With five blocks against Portland, backup center Greg Ostertag has now blocked 29 shots in his past 10 games. . . . Karl Malone is 15 points from becoming the first player in NBA history to score 2,000 points in a season 12 times.

For the Clippers . . . The Clippers lost their 13th in a row Tuesday, falling 95-88 to Phoenix despite 26 points and a season-high 15 rebounds from Rookie-of-the-Year candidate Lamar Odom. . . . The Clippers have allowed Malone to score 24, 24 and 34 points in their three games this season. . . . The Clippers are 0-17 at the Delta Center and 50-64 against Utah all-time, but they have beaten the Jazz at least once in each season since 1990-91.
