DELTA - Anthony "C" "Tony" Callister, age 83, died April 10, 2000 in Delta.
Born October 16, 1916 in Oak City to Joseph Platt and Sarah Elizabeth Christensen Callister. Married Beryl Stapley, March 16, 1946 in Delta. She died June 25, 1994.Man of many talents, working in numerous positions throughout his life, driving cattle, mining, various construction work, CC camps, farming, Delta City Policeman for 18 years, Delta City watermaster and guard at Brush Wellman. World War II veteran. Wonderful father and valued friend with great sense of humor. Will be missed.
Survived by sons and daughters: Chloe (Robert) Pence, Valparaiso, Indiana; Tenna May, Delta; Larry (Barbara) Callister, Heber City; Russell (Darla) Callister, Delta; Revoe (David) Kirkland, Delta; Dee Mar (Chandra) Callister, Delta; EuDon (Rick) Bublitz, Delta; daughter-in-law, Cathy Callister, Durango, Colorado; 26 grandchildren; 26 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son: Joseph Lynn; brother: Lathel; sisters: LaDean Keller, Carlee Davenport.
Funeral services Friday, April 14, 2000, 11 a.m., Delta 1st Ward. Friends call at Nickle Mortuary, Delta, Thursday 7-8 p.m. and at the church Friday 9:30-10:40 a.m. Burial, Delta Cemetery.
