Clarence Alfred Sedgley, born Dec. 23, 1925, died April 15, 2000 at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, of complications from surgery

He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Wilford and Lillian Sedgley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen Rae DeHooge, whom he married on November 13, 1948. They had seven children: Lynn Sedgley, Cherie Morgan, Rob Sedgley, Betty Ann Kenyon, Kathy Blackley, Tina Jensen and Alan Sedgley, all living from California to New York. He is survived by his brother, Kenneth Sedgley of Plano, Texas, and his sister, Mrs Alvern C. (Jean) Goff of Salt Lake City, Utah. He has countless grandchildren and great-grandchildren.He was a loving father who lived his life for his children. He was always there to help when needed and was a great support in troubled times. His musical talents were appreciated by the many people who danced to his band during the 50's and 60's at the Avalon and Terrace Ballrooms. Many evenings were spent at the bandstand in Liberty Park listening to him play the music of the day.

He also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Funeral services will be held Wed., April 19, 2000 at 12 noon at the Bountiful 36th Ward Chapel, 102 East 1400 South, Bountiful, where friends may call from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment-Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, Utah.
