DINAN, France-- A bomb ripped through a McDonald's restaurant near this town in Brittany Wednesday, killing an employee and ripping off part of the restaurant's roof, officials said.

The blast exploded at the drive-through windows in the rear section of the McDonald's, located in a commercial complex near Dinan, in the Cotes d'Armor region in western France, rescue workers said.The head of France's special anti-terrorism judicial division, Irene Stoller, was en route to the scene, according to judicial officials in Paris. The Interior Ministry said the blast was a bomb.

The bomb blew out windows and part of the roof of the restaurant, according to rescue workers.

Suspicion immediately fell on a small separatist group, the Breton Revolutionary Army, blamed for an increasing number of attacks in recent months.
