On Wednesday, April 5, as I was driving home, I stopped at a red light on Parrish Lane and my car died. When the light turned green, people began passing me in the left-turn lane and the parking strip.

A young woman stopped on my right and asked what was the matter. I told her the car would not start for me. She used her cell phone to call the police and waited until they said they were on their way to help me.Then a young man stopped on my left, asking what was wrong. He pulled over to the curb, parked his car and came to push mine over into the parking area. He waited with me until the police arrived. Two good Samaritans.

When the young officer arrived, I told him that the car had been worked on just the day before. He asked where, got the phone number, called them to send help. He waited until that help arrived, the young mechanic got the car going, and we were on our way to get things fixed.

I didn't get any names but would like to get a hearty "Thank You!" to these helpful people.
