Dorothy E. Barrett, 72, born July 16, 1927 in Salt Lake City, UT, a daughter of James A. and Nelma Elizabeth Birrell passed away April 16, 2000 in Tacoma.
She is survived by her husband, George C. Barrett; children, Lynda Webber, Greg Levie, Merrill Dean, Marilyn Markus and Marvin Dean; 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 10 brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters.A time of visitation will be held Thurs., April 20 from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Puyallup. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, April 21 at the LDS Chapel, Parkland Building, 11212 17th Ave. E., Tacoma.
Since she was known for her love of children, the family requests donations to any charitable organization for the benefit of needy children.
