Theodore "Ted" Curtis, died peacefully at home in Flint, MI on Saturday, October 31, 1999 following a long battle with cancer.

Ted was born on March 16, 1928 in Salt Lake City. A graduate of South High class of 1945, Ted received a Bachelor's degree, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Utah, and at the University of Michigan he received a Master's degree and did further graduate work.In 1995, Ted retired from the University of Michigan-Flint where he taught in the Sociology Department for 30 years.

Ted is survived by: his wife, Lora Beckwith; children; Conrad Scott-Curtis and wife Tish, Martha Curtis and husband Walter Jackson, Paul

Curtis and wife Barbara; stepson, Matthew Purcell and wife, Theresa; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Victoria, Christian, Stephen, William, Natalie, Maria; sister, Dorothy Wilkinson and husband
